Houses and offices in Lecco

The urban transformation project involved the “former Galbani” industrial zone in Lecco, which had been suffering from progressive urban decay. To replace the warehouses located in the city center, once used a storage, a building was constructed that was primarily residential, along with a limited number of offices and medical practices on the ground floor. After some initial design proposal, the final project envisaged a building on 5 levels above ground, set back from the street profile, with deep terraces and a long cantilevered metal roof covering the pedestrian path on the ground floor. A large underground car park completed the building’s range of services.
